This page will contain the software license, as well as legal documents relevant to this process.
I am reviewing a number of different licenses for this project. The important components of this are:
1. freely modifiable and redistributable
2. this code is not for re-use in a commercial application
3. source code submissions which are used in the project are subject to the licensing terms for the project. (this does not mean that if you show a technique that the premise is co-opted, only that code applied to the release must be meet the above requirements.)
4. derivative works are something that will need to be considered.
Additionally, I would like to add that the objective here is to remain within the Linden Lab ‘Terms of Service’ Agreement for Second Life. The objective here is to benefit the community and not to harm it.
Further, there must be disclaimers to indemnify the Public Landbot Project in the event of legal action.
I am attempting to get ahold of my in-world attorney, Little Gray, to obtain opinion on how best to pursue this.
